Auburn Carriage Co. is very proud to announce we are offering an exclusive, ultra romantic opportunity for you to taste 5 of placer county’s best kept secrets. In a climate that mirrors the Southern Mediterranean, visit 5 award-winning family operated boutique wineries, who this February alone, have been chosen for 20 medals at the San Francisco Chronicles’ wine competition (also known as the Nation’s Premier competition of the American Varietals). This competition is considered the largest, most prestigious wine competition in the United States, having 5,000 wines representing 23 states.
Arrive in high class on a gorgeous, white vis-a-vis Cinderella carriage drawn by a magnificent Clydesdale with four white socks. Your coachman will be in a full tuxedo and top hat, both draft horse and coachman will strive to make this a trip you will never forget! Regional history and informative wine making secrets are abundant along the way, so sit back and enjoy the smooth, relaxing ride, and soak in all of the sights and sounds of the beautiful placer county wine trail.
Your culinary delights will be fresh, seasonal, and local grown. Hand selected by Craig Rosenaur, former owner and co-founder of the Award-Winning "Horseshoe Bar Grill" in Loomis, CA. Your taste buds will likely encounter items like these on your wine inspired, Mediterranean-themed picnic:
*Fresh baked baguettes with fresh pressed garlic olive oil *Artisan cheeses
*Herbed meats
*Assorted Olives hand stuffed with smoked almonds, feta cheese, blue cheese, pimento, onion, garlic, or habanero

Tours available to Gold medal winning, Mount Vernon Winery, Placer County's largest vineyard since prohibition.
1 hour carriage tour and tasting at the Mt. Vernon Winery, followed by wine inspired, Mediterranean-themed picnic.
Thursday through Sunday 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm. $149 per person, 2 person minimum; 4th passenger gets a discount of $25 for all passengers.
1 3/4 hour carriage tour and tasting at the Mt. Vernon and Fortezza wineries, followed by wine inspired, Mediterranean picnic. Multi-vineyard tour only available on Saturday and Sunday 12 pm, 2 pm, & 4pm. $199 per person, 2 person minimum; 4th passenger gets a discount of $50 for all passengers.
At the Mt. Vernon and Fortezza wineries you will also sample Ciotti Cellars, Popie Wines, and Cristaldi Vineyards wines.
